Fish Oil Study 2013 Warns of Prostate Cancer Risk for Men

LOS ANGELES (LALATE) ? A Fish Oil study 2013 released today warns of prostate cancer risks for men. So is fish oil harmful for men, and is the source of omega-3 fatty acids dangerous for men?

The surprising Fish Oil report headlines the new Journal of the National Cancer Institute. The report addresses men who take fish oil often. ?These fish oil supplements in which some men are getting mega, mega doses ? in our opinion that is probably a little bit dangerous,? said Theodore Brasky of Ohio State University Medical Center, writes in the report.

The findings were staggering. Researchers claimed that overall men had a forty-four percent higher cancer of getting prostate cancer by taking fish oil regularly. When you had a higher level of fishy Omega-3s in your system, you chances of getting prostate cancer jumped to 71%.

The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle findings surprised most involved. Brasky tells news ?It?s not that omega-3s are harmful, but that the fatty acids may have more complex effects on the body than previously thought. We have this tendency to talk about good foods and bad foods, good nutrients and bad nutrients.? Further testing is expected in the coming weeks.
