The IRS is taking steps to improve audit procedures for small corporations.
Based on a study by the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA), it expects to examine the 2010 returns of about 2,500 small corporations with assets of $250,000 or less. (TIGTA Ref. No. 2011-30-113, 9/29/11)
